Mocha Protein Smoothie

I am obsessed with spinach smoothies. How could you not be?! What better way to get a healthy dose of spinach than in a tasty smoothie form? My husband makes fun of me for making my green smoothies, and he refuses to try them. But this new mocha protein smoothie might be just the thing to change his mind. If only the color was more appealing...



I found this recipe on PBFingers, and with a couple adjustments I'm in mocha heaven!

I love making this protein smoothie after an intense weight lifting workout. It feeds my tired muscles and gives me a pep in my step!

Mocha Protein Smoothie

  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 2 handfuls baby spinach
  • 1 small banana
  • 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or just enough to get everything moving)
  • 1 tsp unsweetend cocoa powder
  • 1 packet instant coffee granules
Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth. (No chunks allowed here)
